Is this the official WOMBAT-CS test?
No. Wombat Preparation is independent software with the same kinds of tasks as the WOMBAT-CS test, designed for individual practice. We do not use Aero Innovation Inc.'s official controls or equipment and we are not affiliated with them; WOMBAT and WOMBAT-CS are their trademarks.
Does the trainer guarantee a pass?
No. You can practise the task formats under time limits and track your scores from session to session. Your trainer score does not predict your official test result.
How close is the trainer to the real console?
The three bonus tasks, the tracking main task and the Worth indicator follow the formats in the official WOMBAT-CS Candidate's Manual. The radar is our own alternative task for controller candidates, and the scoring is also our own. Keyboard and mouse controls do not reproduce the experience of using the official console's two joysticks.
Which programmes use WOMBAT-CS?
The test used depends on the organisation and the campaign. Check your invitation or ask the organisers whether you will take WOMBAT-CS.
Do you cover FEAST, ATSA or other aptitude tests?
No. Wombat Trainer is designed for practice with WOMBAT-CS task formats. It does not include exercises for FEAST, ATSA or other aptitude tests.
Licence and devices
How does the device licence work?
The lifetime licence includes support and is valid on one device at a time. To use another computer, close the active session from your dashboard and sign in on the new device. There is no limit on how often you switch.
Can I practise offline?
Yes. After signing in, the app works offline for up to 7 days after its last connection. It then needs an internet connection to check your licence.
Payment and refunds
What is your refund policy?
Within 14 days of purchase, if you have completed fewer than 3 sessions and decide the trainer is not for you, we refund on request, once per customer. Consumers in the EU have 14 days by law to withdraw from an online purchase, but the software is digital content delivered immediately. When you tick the consent box at checkout, you give that right up. Your two-year legal guarantee of conformity always applies. The details are in our refund policy.
Is there a subscription?
No. The licence costs €78 including VAT, paid once. It includes lifetime access, support and unlimited sessions.
How is my payment handled?
Through Stripe's checkout page. Your licence is activated after payment is confirmed. We never see or store your full card details.
Technical
What are the system requirements?
An ordinary laptop or desktop will do: Windows 10 (64-bit), macOS 12 or later, on Intel or Apple Silicon, with 4 GB of RAM and 100 MB of free disk space. You run the trainer with a keyboard and mouse, not a joystick or any other special hardware.
